Associate Accredited Practising Dietitian

Korey Baruta APD, BAppSc, MDietPrac

Korey is an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician (CEDC) with a passion for helping people of all shapes, sizes and abilities to develop a healthier relationship with food, their mind and bodies. She utilises Health At Every Size (HAES®) and the Non-Diet Approach to guide her practice, with a commitment to providing compassionate and weight-neutral care.

Korey has a passion for working with eating disorders, driven by her own lived experience. She draws upon her personal insight and empathetic nature to help others in their own recovery journeys. Korey has experience working with children and adolescents involved in Family Based Therapy (FBT), as well as adults undergoing CBT-E, where she values the involvement of families, carers and loved ones in the care she provides.

Through her work, Korey has developed an interest in disease management from a weight-neutral perspective. She is experienced in providing nutrition interventions for various gastrointestinal conditions such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) through implementation of the low FODMAP diet. She also enjoys supporting individuals with diabetes and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), providing strategies for nutritional management without a focus on body weight.

Outside of work, Korey enjoys spending time outdoors going for walks with her two poodles. She also loves all things space and astronomy, spending her spare time learning about the science of the universe.

Korey is available for telehealth consults on Monday mornings and Wednesday afternoons. To book an appointment with Korey please click here.
