Ali is a friendly and compassionate Accredited Dietitian & Sports Dietitian who strives on empowering his clients to build a healthy and sustainable relationship with food and their body image. Ali believes eating should be a positive, fulfilling, and enjoyable experience for people of all shapes, sizes, and abilities.

Ali’s passion for working within the areas of eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns, stems from his experience in supporting many individuals rediscover a healthy relationship with food and their body image, by providing individually tailored advice that meets their goals. He confidently applies a non-diet approach and utilises the Health at Every Size (HAES®) framework to optimise client health outcomes.

Ali’s area of expertise includes the following areas:

  • Eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns

  • Sports nutrition: especially working with athletes or active individuals to adequately fuel for their training and performance

  • Plant-based nutrition

  • Gastrointestinal concerns such as irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

  • Weight-neutral approach to chronic disease management

 

Ali has undertaken further training with Sports Dietitians Australia (SDA) to become a Sports Dietitian, as well as recently completing the Monash University Low FODMAP course for IBS management.

Outside of work, Ali has a great love for sport, the outdoors and keeping active. In his free time, you will find him listening to a podcast, strength-training, going to the beach, and of course spending his weekends watching sport with his family and friends.
